In my over 40 plus years of listening, it has never failed to move me profoundly, challenge my notions of mastery,and thrill me with it’s dynamics of fire and contemplation.

  4. My Goal's Beyond is the third solo album (after Extrapolation and Devotion) by John contwinkevbderlogptanvidensauculmody.coinfo album was originally released in on Douglas Records in the US. It was later reissued by Douglas/Casablanca (), Elektra/Musician (), and in by Rykodisc on CD and LP. This album marks the first chronological major stylistic change from McLaughlin, apart from his move to Genre: Jazz fusion, world fusion.

  6. Jan 13,  · MY GOAL'S BEYOND was originally issued in as Douglas 9. After McLaughlin formed the Mahavishnu Orchestra, the album next wound up distributed by CBS. The cover art was retained, and CBS assigned it a number, Z(and later KZ)(the label logo is actually Douglas 9).
